Hi, Hallo, Merhaba.

I’m Asli Sahin—born in Istanbul, raised in Frankfurt, and now living in Berlin. Currently, I’m Creative Director at Ogilvy Germany. I don’t like writing bios—especially those written in the third person—so I’m going to use the word "I" a lot and try to keep this short.

Previously, I worked as a Creative Director for Heimat/TBWA, handling brands such as Smart, The Free Democratic Party, Coca-Cola, and others. I won my first Cannes Lion as an intern at Ogilvy Frankfurt and started my career as an art director shortly after. However, that didn’t last long because my boss decided I should become a copywriter instead. Why? I have no idea. But I went with it, continued working as a copywriter, and was soon promoted to Creative Director.

Along the way, I became a member of The Art Directors Club Germany and have won numerous local and international awards, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clio, and ADC Annual, among others. I’ve also served as a judge for D&AD, One Show/ Young Ones Student Awards, ADC Germany, Berlin Commercial, and the Gerety Awards Germany.

And yet, my parents still don’t understand what I do for a living.
